RLRS Press Release
November 3, 2004

Ottawa ON, November 02, 2004 - Royal LePage Relocation Services (RLRS) is pleased to welcome the award of the Integrated Relocation Project (IRP) contract today. Following an open and transparent bidding process, the Government of Canada contract will allow RLRS to continue its ten-year history of providing relocation assistance to public servants and members of the Canadian Forces (CF) and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). This new five-year contract, will replace the contract previously announced on December 18, 2002.

“Royal LePage Relocation Services has once again proven itself to be the leader in government and corporate relocations. As a Canadian owned and operated company, we have the essential experience, knowledge, and team to continue delivering this vital service,” said Michel Bonin, spokesperson for RLRS. “We welcome the award of the relocation contract for the fourth time and are proud to continue providing the highest quality service under the IRP at the lowest cost to Canadians.”

The purpose of the Integrated Relocation Project was to provide departments with increased flexibility to relocate employees to new work locations by providing federal employees, CF and RCMP members with a customized and flexible approach to relocation.

A pilot project was first awarded to RLRS in 1999, and was renewed in 2003. The Government of Canada awarded the IRP contract to RLRS in 2002 and subsequently re-tendered earlier this year. Today’s announcement marks the end of a long and rigorous process that once again proves RLRS is the leading supplier of government relocation services in Canada.
